Senior Project Manager - Process Development

In this role you will be responsible for managing New product introduction and life cycle management project for Drug Product and Finished Drug Products in a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing company in South Dublin

You will have at least 5-8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with demonstrated project management skills.


Responsibilities

  • Agreement Establishment: Facilitate alignment among project team members, customers, and management regarding project goals.
  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive project schedule/plan encompassing quality, objectives, scope, cost, schedule, resources, and responsibilities. Monitor progress against this plan.
  • Communication: Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the project, fostering transparency and clarity.
  • Scope Management: Implement and maintain a well-defined scope that is understood by all stakeholders and upheld throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues in a proactive manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of actions, risks, decisions, and changes, ensuring accountability and traceability.
  • Change Control: Own and oversee the process for managing changes to the project scope, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate, support, and guide project team members to execute tasks according to the project plan.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Lead team meetings and foster cross-functional collaboration to facilitate progress and resolve issues.
  • Resource Management: Collaborate with resource managers across the organization to secure and allocate resources necessary for project completion within specified timelines.
  • Compliance Related Tasks:cGMP Compliance: Ensure adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) throughout all project activities.
  • Safety Standards: Maintain compliance with safety regulations and standards, prioritizing the safety of personnel and the environment.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure that project activities are conducted in line with business and financial guidelines to meet budgetary constraints and financial objectives.
  • Cultural Support: Foster a culture of personal responsibility within the reporting structure, emphasizing accountability and integrity in all actions.

Ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience in a leadership role in a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing facility that engages with site SMEs and managers, and global functions
  • Technical Degree or Masters
  • Experienced Project Manager
  • Portfolio Management, Portfolio Resource Management, Business Case Development
  • Able to influence and lead cross functional teams to deliver to ensure the smooth introduction of new products and the health of existing products
  • Able to work independently and identify risks and mitigation pathways for new and existing products
  • Passionate about continuous improvement applied to product and program leadership
